Complete Weight Lifting Intake to begin
WHAT: A path to heavy lifting through Pilates and weight lifting
WHY: Weight lifting is essential through all stages of life to build & maintain muscle mass and bone density.
WHY AT MONARCH: Injury prevention & recovery can make weight lifting feel scary. Many people ask " How can I begin a weight lifting program without hurting myself?"
The key is form, awareness & core strength. The Weight lifting Program Prep classes provide a foundation of strength & form while the WLP Screening provides a 1:1 opportunity to transition your form to the squat stand with confidence.
Weight Lifting Class (WLC)
6 students : 1 Physical Therapist/ Pilates Instructor
50 minutes with adequate rest & recovery time
Warm up - Squats - Bent over rows - Split Squats
Program prep may be required prior to joining WTC
*WLC class passes are a separate pass than the Reformer Class Pass

Program Prep
Learn cues, form & strategies to improve safety & effectiveness of Weight Lifting. Attendance in the Program Prep classes is highly recommended prior to booking a screening. The Program Prep can be completed through the following classes or Private lessons.
PELVIC HEALTH I: Learn how to move with neutral spine, pelvic floor & core Integration
SHOULDER HEALTH: Learn breath & spine awareness to improve shoulder mobility & strength
FOUNDATIONS: Level 1 Reformer class provides group opportunity to practice form
POWER: Level 2 class combining awareness of form with weight lifting exercises
How to begin:
1. Complete WLP Screening intake
2. Schedule 1:1 WLP Fitness Screening
3. Schedule PT or Pelvic Floor PT Evaluation as advised in Intake
